Continuum
22” x 30”
Acrylic on Paper

If we were to lay space out so it is flat, there would be sections that would appear to be missing. The mystery of space is it’s actual formation, which I believe is mathematical and the primary shape would be that of a rectangle. The Continuum is a section of space rolled flat.

I discovered this possibility when pondering memories. For instance, we have all placed something in a spot that we were positive that item would be found. Car keys were a good one for me, I could spend hours looking for them. One day I realized the actual shape of my space changes and perhaps I did place my keys on a certain shelf but by the time I located them, they had “moved” to the book shelves in the hallway. That is the Continuum at work in our current life. After we die, the missing areas become apparent.
